We do not use one central set of nameservers but employ normally reliable networks to provide various levels of redundancy. Network status, critical updates and alerts are posted at the mobile friendly stijlnet.net. We do not offer a Service Level Agreement ( SLA ) to any of our customers or consultancy clients. We aim, instead, to maintain a 100% service level record at all times but we know that in the real world this is just not possible. Instead of promising 99.9 or 99.99% uptime and then failing to deliver, our service level offer is to monitor systems and address any problems as soon as they arise. If issues appear to be serious or will entail a lengthy period of downtime then we will offer customers the option to move their domain to different nameservers and/or another webserver. Most of our upstream hosting networks offer 100Mb (100 Megabit) or 1Gb (1 Gigabit) per second infrastructure connectivity along with BGP4 Advanced Internet Routing for multiple connections to the internet through different backbone providers. This allows requests and responses to take the fastest routes both to and from the webserver. We utilise numerous nameserver pairs from varous registrars and upstream hosts. As we are a small company we do not have the customer service staff to deal with numerous tech support questions regarding our budget hosting accounts. Please do not be offended if you do not receive a personalised response to a problem that is affecting a number of different accounts. We try to keep all affected account holders up to speed with email updates and network alerts. We are sorry but we cannot reply to general technical questions (how do I? what is? etc) regarding the specification or use of any hosting account. Due to the distributed nature of our hosting accounts, it would be highly improbable that most customers would be experiencing problems at the same time. This allows us to concentrate all our attention on the affected accounts. We are able to supply secondary hosting accounts and multiple nameserver options plus sourcing of dedicated IP addresses and managed servers for our consultancy clients to enjoy maximum uptime and reliability. Our standard hosting accounts normally have a data transfer cap in place. although allowance is intedend to be appropriate to and normally sufficient for the amount of webspace included.
