Digital Image of Laptop

The brief was to create an image of a laptop with a picture superimposed onto the screen, to form the main graphic for a new laptop related site. A plain white background and crisp lines were essential. Two suitable photographs were chosen; the laptop was originally photographed indoors in natural daylight on a dark cloth background and the photograph of the leopard was taken outdoors, during a visit to Berlin Zoo.

The various basic techniques used during the production of this image included cutting out the laptop from the background cloth and replacing with a plain white background colour. The picture of the leopard was cropped and tidied and then scaled for perspective and placed over the laptop screen. Various levels were adjusted / enhanced and the final image was cropped and resized for use.

A second version of the image was also produced from the same laptop photograph, with a plain grey gradient as the 'turned off' screen.
