Hardware and Software Technicians

Location(s) : Onsite in the OL and M postcode areas of the UK
Earnings range : Callout charge and £TBA per hour
Description : We have a number of users and clients based in the wider Manchester area and between them they have many onsite office computers that are of critical importance to business continuity. When things go wrong, need installing or upgrading, they often benefit from some hardware and software support from the experts and that is where we need people like you. You must have total integrity aswell as being able to provide prompt diagnosis and speedy first time solutions to hardware and software issues. Operating Systems are primarily XP and Vista with a few OS-X or Ubuntu machines and hardware and software will need to be fully configured according to a client's requirements. You should be highly knowledgeable in networking protocols, wired and wireless connections, security and data management issues and be capable of troubleshooting and securing small networks in addition to individual machines. Experience in PC repair, OEM PC assembly, bespoke OS and software configuration are essential; MCP, MCSE or equivalent would be an asset. Description : Visiting clients onsite and photographing products, personnel at work and business premises, liaising with clients and delivering appropriately selected and sized images to the client and ourselves. Must have established photographic talent and basic image manipulation skills in addition to a full driving licence and your own transport.

Description : Code pro? We need your skills in writing, installing, configuring, editing, upgrading, developing and supporting scripts throughout their entire lifecycle at our clients' sites. You must be capable of integrating scripts with customised templates, effecting upgrades and changes with the minimum amount of downtime and securely managing databases containing sensitive or confidential information.

Consultancy office support - LAMP specialists

Description : You will work with our consultant and director, assisting with certain 'network housekeeping' tasks including migration of sites, database management, script upgrades, setting up hosting accounts and dealing with client support enquiries. You must be highly experienced with TCP, IP, DNS, LAMP environments and scripts including osCommerce, vBulletin, Wordpress, Drupal and Joomla! Advanced coding skills would be advantageous.

Freelance Client Managers / Resellers

Earnings range : £ commission based
Description : You will need to have a good understanding of most aspects of web publishing and marketing and be capable of discussing complex issues with potential customers and existing clients. You do not need an aggressively pushy sales attitude but you do need to be capable of responding to the needs of your client base in an honest and prompt manner. You will also need to be able to offerone or more of the services / roles listed above to our company and clients on a freelance basis.

A bit about working with us as a freelancer

When you work with stijlnet.com we treat it as a partnership that should benefit us all, not least the eventual customers of the client. We won't promise you silly earnings but we do respect the skills required to work in the online environment and we don't expect anyone to work for buttons. We do expect you to have established solid skills, consistent accuracy and an adherence to accepted conventions and standards. All freelancers that we work with should self invoice the company or a specific client and each is responsible for all relevant local tax and registration obligations. Availability of work cannot be guaranteed but there is no obligation to accept any work and freelancers would not normally be required to work for more than 16 hours per week on any given project. We offer various payment methods, according to freelancer's location, including UK drawn cheque, PayPal and sterling cash. We are currently only seeking suitably qualified freelancers and small businesses in the UK and wider EU.
