Analysis
Our first job with any exisitng
site is to gain some idea of its current page ranking
with the major search engines. We use a variety of
identical phrases and word combinations expanding
from specific to generalised, local to international
to gain an impression of the major engines' perception
of your site's relevance to the searches where you
want to be. The effectiveness of any existing meta
keywords and description are also examined with various
search entries. Those that we feel warrant concern
are investigated further with regard to the content
of your particular site.
We look at the sites on the
internet that are referencing and/or linking to you,
the categories of directories and the links that so
called intelligent software places it alongside. We
look for any words or phrases that are potentially
confusing and damaging to rank or throw up a random,
unexpected set of results.
We examine the architecture
of your site and in the case of multiple domain names
their interaction. We look for duplicated content,
examine how content will be found by the engines'
robots. The best selection of white papers and resources
that could give you an A+ rating can be useless if
it is buried beneath layers of internal links
Only in very few areas online
is a business fortunate enough to have no direct competition
and not have to work at getting to the top of a search.
In all other instances if you fail to be high in your
target searches then you can guarantee your competittors
will be. We can help you to understand just why they
are where they are and, more importantly, what you
need to do to be up there with them too.
For future development we look
for keywords and combinations that offer unexplored
but potentially useful inroads into search results.
